Hosted by the New Jersey Center for Biomaterials, the Center is one of the leading academic research groups to address the challenges of biomaterials discovery and optimization through a rational approach. Dr. Cahn will be presenting at Session 1C: Development of New Therapies and Delivery Systems. |

March 2, 2006 - Dr. Cahn, representing BioMedical Strategies,
and Dr. David Ahrenholz and Mr. Mark Finkelstein, Administrator,
Staten Island University Hospital Burn Center, Staten
Island, New York, representing the American Burn Association,
testify at the Advisory Panel on Ambulatory Payment Classification
(APC) Groups' Meeting at the Centers for Medicare and
Medicaid Services regarding the APC group assignments
of the new 2006 Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes
for Skin Replacement & Skin Substitute Procedures.
In response, the Panel recommended that CMS move the new
CPT codes from APC 0024, Level I Skin Repair to APC 0027,
