New Brunswick, October 29-31, 2008 - Biomedical Strategies will be attending the 9th annual New Jersey Symposium on Biomaterials Science and Regenerative Medicine in New Brunswick, NJ. Hosted by the New Jersey Center for Biomaterials, the Center is one of the leading academic research groups to address the challenges of biomaterials discovery and optimization through a rational approach.

 

San Diego, October 2, 2008 - Biomedical Strategies will be attending the California Heart Rhythm Symposium in San Diego. The Symposium brings together leaders in cardiac electrophysiology and highlights new clinical therapeutic strategies.

  San Diego, September 17-19, 2008 - Biomedical Strategies has been invited to attend the Scripps Clinic 2008 Coronary Interventions conference in San Diego. The Conference is a comprehensive program that features live case demonstrations, lectures and panel discussions that will discuss the state-of-the-art concepts and techniques of interventional cardiology.
 

San Diego, July 18, 2008- Biomedical Strategies will be present at a Legislative Roundtable with Assemblymember Lori Saldaņa at BIOCOM.

  San Diego, June 18, 2008 - Biomedical Strategies will be attending the Italian Trade Comission sponsered Italian Bio2008 Conference in San Diego. The Italian Trade Commission is the government agency entrusted with promoting trade, business opportunities and industrial co-operation between Italian and foreign companies.
  La Jolla, June 16, 2008 - Biomedical Strategies will be attending the Israel Life Science Day and meeting with medical device manufacturers at the event.
  Rockville, May 13th, 2008 - Dr. Frederick Cahn will be presenting at the United States Pharmacopeial Convention's "Tissues and Tissue Based Products Workshop" held in Rockville, MD. The United States Pharmacopeia (USP) is the official public standards-setting authority for all prescription and over-the-counter medicines, dietary supplements, and other healthcare products manufactured and sold in the United States.
 

San Diego, April 24 - 27, 2008 - Biomedical Strategies will be attending the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) & Wound Healing Society (WHS), taking place at the San Diego Convention Center. Huntington Beach, March 29, 2008- Biomedical Strategies will be presenting at the SABPA, Third Annual Biomedical Forum this month. Dr. Frederick Cahn will be speaking on Cardiovascular Reimbursement issues and what it takes for new companies to get Reimbursement for their medical devices. There will be a question and answer portion of the lecture, and also, Dr. Cahn will be available throughout the day for additional questions and concerns.   San Diego, February 14, 2008 - BMS has been invited to attend the San Diego Cardiothoracic Surgery Symposium held in San Diego. The Symposium is the premier educational gathering for perfusionists, physicians and surgeons, and biomedical professionals whose work relateds to cardiovascular surgery.
  Baltimore, March 2, 2006 - Dr. Cahn, representing BioMedical Strategies, and Dr. David Ahrenholz and Mr. Mark Finkelstein, Administrator, Staten Island University Hospital Burn Center, Staten Island, New York, representing the American Burn Association, testify at the Advisory Panel on Ambulatory Payment Classification (APC) Groups' Meeting at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services regarding the APC group assignments of the new 2006 Current Procedural Terminology (CPT) codes for Skin Replacement & Skin Substitute Procedures. In response, the Panel recommended that CMS move the new CPT codes from APC 0024, Level I Skin Repair to APC 0027, Level IV Skin Repair. Agenda and Report of the APC Panel Meeting

The audience will include management groups of medical device companies situated in the greater Los Angeles and Orange County areas.
  San Diego, March 31, 2005- San Diego Regulatory Affairs Network Invites Dr. Frederick Cahn to speak about the ins and outs of medical device reimbursement. This educational seminar will cover an overview of Medicare coverage, coding, and payment. This talk will cover the basics that everyone should be aware of so that the development plan, and possibly the clinical trials, will provide support not only for FDA requirements, but also reimbursement needs.
  London, February 17, 2005- Frost and Sullivan, Along with several companies that included Johnson & Johnson, Dragen Medical, and Biomedical Strategies, held a European Roundtable Forum. The forum discussed domestic and global issues in medical device reimbursement, specifically focusing on the European market and its policies on healthcare and medical device reimbursement.
